Thanos Wins in Marvel’s Infinity Wars: Prime Teaser

Thanos Wins in Marvel’s Infinity Wars: Prime Teaser

The Mad Titan Thanos won in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and his winning streak looks to continue in July with a new teaser for the Infinity Wars: Prime #1 one-shot from writer Gerry Duggan and artist Mike Deodato.

The Deodato illustration shows Thanos raising both his arms in the air, either celebrating a victory or gearing up to deliver a double-armed blow to an unseen opponent.

The original Infinity War series from 1992 revolved around the Magus’ efforts to use the Infinity Gauntlet for his own evil machinations. Though Magus did appear in the run-up to the current Infinity Countdown storyline, he was quickly killed by the event’s true villain – the human/android hybrid Ultron Pym.

Infinity Wars looks to follow the Infinity Countdown miniseries, which sees heroes and villains from across the Marvel Universe hunting for the six Infinity Stones. Though Thanos hasn’t directly involved himself in the event, it’s only a matter of time before he makes his presence known, which could directly lead into Infinity Wars.
